GCC is partnering with the following organizations from Flushing, Queens and a group of musicians, dancers and artists from the 5 boroughs:
1. iBridge Foundation was established in 2020 by a group of physicians and entrepreneurs based in New York. Our mission is to promote education, research, and other appropriate programs, as well as community services for the benefit of the general public. See ibridgefoundation.org
2. Public Safety Patrol is a civilian team that performs daily foot and car patrols in Flushing. Among their members are small business owners, retired police officers and business professionals. This patrol group has been featured in media reports from NBC, WSJ, AFP, Sinovision and China News. There are daily 5-7pm walk patrols and 6-9pm car patrols. To equip their foot patrol volunteers, it takes $100 to provide vest, walkie talkie and other safety items. It takes $350 to equip civilian cars with patrol lights and emblems. 3. Cornerstone Thai Boxing will offer Self defense classes in our downtown Flushing location that is easily accessible to Flushing and nearby residents through Main St.’s transportation hub. Your $50 donation allows a participant to attend 2 classes and receive a personal safety kit. 4. An eclectic group of musicians and artists who will perform a live 90-minute benefit concert that will be YouTube Live simulcasted – going beyond just words to raise awareness of Anti-Asian hate and raise funds to support our efforts in Flushing. https://glownyc.org/concert2021-bios/
